OUR STORY
Karkar Nuts is a well-known name in Syria, particularly in Damascus, with a rich history dating back to 1950. Our grandfather, Sheikh Ahmad Karkar, started this trade, originally known as “Al-Qudmani,” in the Al-Bzourieh market in Damascus. He then passed it down to his sons, marking the beginning of our journey of success. The sons opened the first authorized sales center for Karkar Roasteries products in the Jobar area of Damascus. This was followed by a second branch on Al-Asma’i Street, also in Jobar. Later, we expanded to the Al-Qusour neighborhood in Damascus as a third branch. This marked the beginning of a period of prosperity, with this significant achievement becoming one of the greatest milestones in this beautiful story. It was at this point that young Omar Karkar, the grandson of Sheikh Ahmad Karkar, engraved the name of Karkar Roasteries in gold. Following this, Omar Karkar announced the opening of our fourth branch in the Al-Sina’a area of Damascus.
In 2018, we opened our new branch to sell our products in the city of Mersin at the Tafriqah (Al-Mafraq) area.
